Educating a generation on the impacts of food on their mental and physical health.
"The number one factor of health, is education".
At Food and Mood Education we are passionate about educating young people and educators, on the importance of nutrition to change our current mental health crisis. No other thing that we do everyday has the ability to affect our biology, as much what we eat. However, this is currently not being taught in education.
We are in a mental health crisis, and this is directly linked to the food we eat. Our young people's mental health will not improve if we don't get their basic needs right first.

What we eat not only has a huge impact on our mental and physical health but also young peoples grades, attendance, memory, behaviour, moods, hormones, and overall well-being.

We currently work alongside the children's food campaign, and are actively working with the government to make important changes to our food sytem.

Our mission is to empower young people and individuals to take charge of their own mental and physical health, so they can thrive and live their healthiest, happiest, most successful lives possible. Join us on this journey towards better health through nutrition education.

Testimonials
"Lauren delivered a large group assembly, which was extremely informative and engaging. The children really enjoyed being involved within the assembly and becoming different parts of the body. It captured their attention, whilst enabling them to take away lots of valuable information about how to navigate their way through the difficult world of modern food. We, and the children are looking forward to Lauren coming back again soon."

“I had the pleasure of attending coaching sessions led by Lauren Morley who specialises in the impact of food and diet on mood, concentration, and general health. Lauren is fantastic ambassador, passionate, engaging, and approachable.
Lauren delivered several inspiring presentations to our apprentices at Brighton and Northbrook Colleges, helping us tackle the vital issue of dietary impact on concentration and mental/physical health.
This information is so important yet seems not to feature in primary and secondary education (despite most of us recognising the clear link between what we eat and our physical and mental states).
The way Lauren connected specific dietary choices to emotional and cognitive well- being was eye-opening. I strongly recommend Lauren to anyone looking to understand and leverage the powerful connection between diet and mental well-being.”

Lauren came in to deliver nutrition workshops with our sport science classes at worthing college this week and we were thrilled with the content and outcome for our students. The sessions highlighted the effects of poor nutrition/ ultra processed foods on our mental health, sleep, mood, concentration amongst others.
As a teacher of sport science i found this very useful for the students to hear from a different voice and on a topic that is so beneficial to the younger generation who may not have the education or knowledge to eat a diet that is healthy.
Lauren is clearly passionate about the subject which translates when she delivers these lessons to the class and displays good knowledge when probed with questions and ideas. She was approachable, friendly and included some fun activities for the students to create a relaxed and positive learning environment.
I will be sure to arrange more visits from Lauren in the future.
